Too cold to start the grill? You can still have a wonderful steak dinner, accompanied by a great glass of wine, with a minimum of fuss. Learn how to pan fry a sirloin steak in a flash.
This class will make a complete dinner from appetizer through dessert. There will be gourmet cheeses, roasted garlic potatoes, braised spinach, chocolate pots du crème.
The steak will be accompanied by a variety of big red wines, both from the old world and new world, including Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. We'll discuss what cuts of meat to buy, how to judge cooking times and doneness, and what makes great wine and food pairings.
Please bring two wine glasses for class. Come hungry!
